Not only are you onto something, I think you hit the nail on the head.. I diverge a little in my thoughts however. I honestly believe that the "revolution" as I will call it, is unfortunately a direct result of our sloth. It would appear that the majority of successful products, if bundled correctly, were a result of not only excellent marketing, but humans' penchant for finding the "easiest" way to do things. "Convienience" is nothing more than an synonym for our complacency!
Microwave, laptop, vehicles etc... ".....is the mother of invention" I would put a different word in there myself!!!
First time on your blog and I thoroughly enjoyed!!

As long as our society is in on the go all of the time, I think that SOME people will be willing to trade off fidelity for convenience.

On the other hand, there will always be those that appreciate the difference and want the BEST quality and experience that their money can buy.

DJ LoKey

Not only is this music portability for consumers, but business owners and DJ's too. Most DJ's don't even carry around Records or CD's anymore, it's all played through software straight off a Laptop. More convenient? Yes, but the quality is far inferior.
