I agree. In fact, Twitter has an even tougher challenge than Facebook or Youtube when it comes to display ads. The 'stream' of tweets are mostly consumed on 3rd party desktop and mobile apps. As a result, unless Twitter starts inserting in-stream ads they can't even show a low eCPM display ad. But with their platform they effectively own the consciousness of the planet....which should be enormously valuable to someone like Google!
